The Great Good Thing

I found The Great Good Thing a bit hard to read based on his language and prose. However, his life story of finding God enlightening, truthful, revealing. Klavan talks about how his troubled childhood caused him to live inside his head and grow up as a lonely writer who is disconnected. Somehow I could relate to that, perhaps all writers have to go through trauma in order to find faith, God, or some reality of love. He also stumbled upon a genuine love in his marriage, which we can all find some security in.
